Locally made by Urban Organics this rongoā is based on a Whanau (family) remedy dating back to the Second World War. This balm can be used to help treat conditions such as: mild eczema, contact dermatitis, nappy rash, cuts, stretches and insect bites.
Ingredients and properties :
Kawakawa- has antibacterial properties and is used to heal minor cuts, insect bites and skin irritation.
Kūmarahou- has anti-inflammatory properties and is used to soothe and heal minor skin conditions.
Shea butter- has anti-inflammatory and skin conditioning properties.
Tea tree - is a natural antiseptic.
The Kawakawa used in this product is home grown, the Kūmarahou is sourced from a herbal practitioner based in the far north of New Zealand.
